Instructions for using the plugs:

1. Choose a suitable log or stump, preferably oak, beech or maple.
2. Drill holes about 3.5 cm deep, spaced 10 cm apart in a diamond pattern.
3. Place the oyster mushroom plugs in the holes and make sure they fit properly.
4. Seal the holes with the supplied wax to protect the plugs from drying out and to keep competing organisms out.
5. Place the inoculated log in a shady spot with sufficient air circulation.

It takes 6-18 months before the logs start producing mushrooms, and they will keep producing for several years.
