Discover how enjoyable and simple it is to grow your own nameko with our Nameko spawn - 80 grams. This mycelium rich spawn is meant for nameko: small, glossy caps with a mild nutty flavour, indispensable in Japanese miso soup.

Mix the spawn into pasteurised hardwood sawdust or wood pellets in a bucket or grow bag, or use it to inoculate fresh hardwood logs. We ourselves have by far the most success with nameko outdoors, in partial shade: there it follows the season and comes mainly in late summer and autumn, as soon as it turns humid. Indoors, high humidity matters more than the exact temperature.
