This product is intended for inoculating logs, branches and stumps, so that you can enjoy the delicious flavour and healthy benefits of Pioppino mushrooms in an environmentally friendly way.

Our Pioppino plug spawn is perfect for gourmets and nature lovers who want to experience the rich flavour of these mushrooms from their own garden. The plugs are 35 mm long and 8 mm in diameter and are available in packs of 25, 50 or 100 pieces. We also supply wax with this product to protect the plugs after you have placed them in the drilled holes.

Pioppino mushrooms are not only delicious, but also nutritious and rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. They are an excellent addition to a healthy diet and can be used in all kinds of culinary creations.

Instructions for using the plugs:

  1. Choose a suitable log or stump, preferably poplar or willow.
  2. Drill holes about 3.5 cm deep, 10 to 15 cm apart in a diamond pattern.
  3. Place the plugs in the holes.
  4. Use the supplied wax to seal the holes, which protects the plugs against drying out and prevents competing organisms from getting in.
  5. Place the inoculated log or stump in a shady spot.

Inoculated logs start to produce mushrooms within 6-18 months and can keep cropping for several years.
