How to use the Lion’s Mane plugs

1. Choose fresh hardwood with a diameter of 10 - 45 cm and a length of 50 - 100 cm.
2. Drill holes 8 - 9 mm wide and 3 - 4 cm deep, 10 - 15 cm apart in a diamond pattern.
3. Hammer in the plugs until they are flush with the surface.
4. Break off a piece of the supplied beeswax, melt it over a tea light and drip it over each hole.
5. Place the log in a shady, moist spot, for example under shrubs or next to a fence.

After 9 to 18 months the first fruiting bodies appear. A well inoculated log can produce lion’s mane mushrooms for several years, usually in spring and autumn.
