Instructions for using the plugs:

1. Choose a suitable hardwood log or stump, such as oak, maple or beech.

3. Place the Shiitake plugs in the holes and make sure they fit well.
4. Use the supplied wax to seal the holes.
5. Place the inoculated log or stump in a shady spot. 

Inoculated logs start to produce mushrooms within 6-18 months and can keep yielding for several years.
